(노래 가사 같네요.)

A : We have only two months to go this year.

(올해도 겨우 두 달 밖에 안 남았네요.)

B : No! We still have two months to go.

(아니죠. 두 달이나 남았죠.)

A : This year has flown by before I feel it.

(어느새 올해가 이렇게 많이 흘렀잖아요.)

B: Think positive.

I can‘t wait for winter.

(긍정적으로 생각해요. 난 겨울이 너무나 기다려지는 걸요.)

→song lyrics: 노래가사

= the words of a song

→sound like~ : ~ 처럼 들린다. ~처럼 여겨진다.

→have ~ to go: ~가 (얼마나) 남아 있다.

I have twenty pages to go. (20쪽 남았어요.) 여기서 go는 ‘가다’ 즉 책이나, 시간이 정해진 범주의 끝까지 어느 정도 남았는가를 나타내는 의미이다.

→still : 아직, 여전히 My wife is still angry. (아내가 아직도 화가 나 있다.)

→cant’ wait for~ : ~가 간절하다. ‘기다릴 수 없다’즉 너무나 간절하다는 의미이다.

I can’t wait to drink coffee. (커피먹고 싶어 죽겠다.)
