#1. 외국인 공무원 채용

The government said it will open up civil service positions in science,technology,information and communication ministries to foreign nationals.

정부는 앞으로 과학·기술·정보통신 분야 공무원에 외국인도 지원할 수 있도록 하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

Current laws on civil servants allow the government to hire foreigners only if the posts are unrelated to policy making or national security and intelligence.

현재 공무원 조례에 따르면 외국인은 정책입안, 국가안전, 정보와 관련되지 않는 기관에 한해서 공무원이 될 수 있습니다.

Foreigners have mostly been working as contract employees at ministries in foreign language-related positions.

외국인 공무원들은 주로 지금까지 계약직으로 외국어 관련 부서에서 일해 왔습니다.

#2. 베이징 내 한식당

The number of Korean restaurants is growing in Beijing.

중국 베이징의 한식당이 늘어나고 있습니다.

Unlike most cities outside of Korea,restaurants in the Chinese capital offer a wide-ranging selection of Korean foods suited to an array of palates,and the selection is expected to grow.

다른 나라 대도시들에 있는 한식당들과 달리, 베이징에 있는 한식당들은 여러 입맛에 맞춘 다양한 한국 음식을 제공하고 있으며 앞으로는 선택의 폭도 더 늘어날 것으로 보입니다.

There are about 600 Korean restaurants in the city.By 2008,the number is expected to increase to 1,000.

현재 600여개의 한식당이 운영되고 있으며,2008년까지 그 숫자는 1000여개에 이를 것으로 보입니다.
